I got him.

I finally got the male pup. Its actually his parents that come straight out of m&m. He is 5months old now and a real giant compared to my female. She is 7months and they the exact same size. Hey ninja, i wanted to know if it is normal if 1of a puppies ribs protrude sometimes like a knob from the side. It isn't there constantly but sometimes its like a fat knob, on both sides. Should i be concerned or am i just being paranoid?

Are the knobs protruding

Are the knobs protruding during feeding times ? I have a female with a knob on the left side, we found out one of the ribs were broken as a pup. It is very prominent during feeding.

Not just while eating...

I am aware that a rib will most likely be prominent at feeding times, especially with puppies. I have noticed that in some of my previous dogs while they were pups and before their bodies started transforming into the muscle bound machines that they are meant to be. But with this pup it sometimes protrudes even when its not feeding times. It doesn't show constantly which does make me feel a bit better about it. And i have inspected and it seems to feel like all his ribs are sitting where they suppose to. He is also not in any pain or discomfort what so eva. Maybe i should just take him to the vet to ease my mind.
