New registrations

Hi all

Could someone please tell me if its possible to register a Female pitbull for the first time without her parents papers?

I got her 8 months ago from a friend who couldnt keep her in his complex as people complained that she was a pitbull. I have been to the petshop where he bought her from to find out where she came from, They tell me that according to the records she came from a place called Tsotsi kennels. They unfortunately dont have the number for them or just wont give me the number.

I have searched everywhere I can think of to contact this kennel, but cant seem to come right.

Could someone please tell me if its possible to register her as the first of her line or is there anything else I can do?

Thank you

Just as a matter of

Just as a matter of interest. What was the criteria for the first dogs to be registered ever. It had to have started somewhere. I mean i can understand where most of the guys are coming from. I've had many thoroughbred dogs over the yrs and unfortunately they were never registered. And no 1could have denied their heritage in any way... The 2dogs i have now are the 1st time ever that i have registered dogs. And like my previous companions, just by looking at them you would know that they the real deal. The only difference now is i have the paper to prove it. On the other hand i've seen registered dogs today that are a far cry from what the original breeders intended that i wouldn't even think of getting 1 even if the paper was there. What if you start a new breed? how do you go about getting it recognised and getting the first dogs registered. Not that any 1would have the years of patience that comes with that today...
