Skin issues!

Pitbulls are very prown to skin problems due to their very thin coats. There could be a few things that could be aggrivating his skin. Firstly try and see if it is not his food, Alot of terriers battle with poultry and the only food that is not made of chicken is the Vet's choice, try maybe putting him on the Vet's choice for sensitive dogs. You must also make 100% sure his bedding that he sleeps on is clean and aired as much as possible. At most shops you will find Johnsons antibacterial powder, put that on the bedding every time you put it back on his bed. My dogs also battle with their skin and these are just a few things I have found helps. I also bath my dogs every 2 weeks in Head and shoulder sensitive. And that also help and soothes it.

I have also found that keeping my dogs inside to much creates the skin problem as they are never outside enough for their scins to adapt and get used to the bacterias ect outside as well as the sun. So now I put them outside when I am not home and even if I am home they must stay outside for at least half the day. And it seems to have helped.
